Fill 1/7 way up with granulated sugar. For buttons and nose you can make them from polymer clay or buttons can be chocolate chips and nose can be a hot tamale candy or something similar. Make sure not to shake and cap it tightly. Hang from a tree and watch the faces of people who come to see it.

Candy Pie Banks

65127_10151134075180919_1236489235_nMake a favorite sugar cookie recipe (a recipe that makes hard sugar cookies) or you can make this with gingerbread. Cook the cookie in a “whoopie pie” pan. When cookies are done  and cooled take two  halves and use icing the “glue” them together after you have stuffed the bottom side of this “pie” with Skittles, M&M or similar candies. Pipe on a bow of icing or tie on a ribbon with a bow on top. Would make a great gift or party favor or wouldn’t it be a special treat for the kids for desert?

Cany Cane Flower Floral Pot

What a great way to spruce up  a poinsettia or other flower pot inside your home. It is only temporary so it can even be made around a favorite pot in your home right now.

600043_298243373627302_1509361411_nPut a rubber band around the middle (from top to bottom) of the pot. Stick candy canes around under rubber band until you get the look in the picture. Tie a ribbon and then bow around the middle the of the candy canes. For a slightly more permanent design, hot glue the ribbon as you wrap it around the middle of the candy canes over the rubber band. Would make a great gift or decoration for a party, especially this time of year!

486313_10151339066406425_1999099939_nWhat a great treat to have with a warm cup of hot chocolate or coffee. Warm candy can tip over heat and push into marshmallow. Warm marshmallow and sprinkle red and green sprinkles on. Refrigerate so your creations will remain perfect until you serve them.

Milk Jug Snowman Outside Decoration

76431_477678165608782_426290372_nThis is so simple of an idea and you can get your child involved to help get a kick start to the holiday festivities. Thoroughly clean milk/orange juice container by letting soak overnight with water and about two tablespoons of bleach. Rinse and dry. While you are waiting for this use old buttons or paper cutouts for mouth, nose and eyes. Get creative and give the snowman earmuffs, eyeglasses or whatever other creative add-on you can give to provide your snowman with a personality. For the lights: If making three or more like in the picture use a string of lights that is 150 lights. Puncture a hole in the back of the jug and push lights until you have about forty in each jug. This will provide room for the snowman to be placed close but as you desire. You can also use a little sand or some rocks in the jug before you put the lights in them to hold them securely if wind should arise.
