Tortilla Recipe

11933426_471852942986610_2354228103116112223_nNothing better then a freshly made right out of the frying pan tortilla, People underestimate the usage of these really easy to make tortillas, They can be used for a desert (after cooking serve with small bowls of whip cream, chocolate chips, strawberries or other mixed berries or fruit, syrups and powdered sugar). For savory foods think of this as a holder of foods and not just for foods thought of as Mexican like soft tacos or burritos. Left overs like mashed potatoes and steak, salad, lunch meats, pot roast and trimmings etc can be wrapped up in this for a great tasting sandwich. These are great for on the go eating and are certainly healthier than fast food. You could make peanut butter and jelly even. The ideas are non-stopping.

Woven Bacon Makes The Perfect BLT

54579b27-7e6a-4f0c-a1c2-62e5640dc95b.jpeg;base64Here is a great tip I am going to use from now on. I tried this once and it really made the perfect BLT. For one, every bite had the perfect two layered bacon flavor that is perfect for a BLT. The second benefit was that the bacon didn’t slide around on the sandwich which always seems to happen to me. Simply cut bacon strips in half and weave them together as seen in the first picture. Place on aluminum foil (for easy cleanup) on any baking dish and cook at 350 degrees until the desired crispness of the bacon is desired for you. This works on turkey bacon as well as regular. This would also make the perfect topping for a juicy burger I would think as well.

Sliced Baked Potato

They came out so good – we sprinkled them with cheddar cheese and a dollop of sour cream and added chives and bacon bits. The toppings made their way inbetween the slices and it was really good and so simple. If watching caloried use low fat/fat free sour cream and cheese and skip the bacon bits.
