We all know all the cool project you can make with Terra cotta pots and saucers. These are cool and very easy to make. Use any combination of sizes to make a non-unified look. Paint with your own style using acrylic pain. It will soak a bit into the saucer/pot so a second coat might be needed. You can certainly just set them on top of each other or glue them together with liquid nails or E6000. Carry this project further by adding little miniature figures of elves and fairies on top and make it look like this is their own secret world. This project is cheap and using existing items you already have increases your savings.
Nothing better then a freshly made right out of the frying pan tortilla, People underestimate the usage of these really easy to make tortillas, They can be used for a desert (after cooking serve with small bowls of whip cream, chocolate chips, strawberries or other mixed berries or fruit, syrups and powdered sugar). For savory foods think of this as a holder of foods and not just for foods thought of as Mexican like soft tacos or burritos. Left overs like mashed potatoes and steak, salad, lunch meats, pot roast and trimmings etc can be wrapped up in this for a great tasting sandwich. These are great for on the go eating and are certainly healthier than fast food. You could make peanut butter and jelly even. The ideas are non-stopping.
This home is a Victorian beauty isn’t she? The artist did a wonderful job with the icing work – even allowing the porch edging and edging on top of the peak of the house to dry before installing. Notice how the whole house is moved up with peppermints to give the home a crawlspace? The peppermint sticks used for the porch poles is a great idea. The wreath is made from a lot of the sugar crystal balls that you decorate candy with. The bushes and plants – even a cactus is all done in detail.
Start with a pot six inches larger then the one on the middle and make sure the one in the middle is big enough to have the flute fit inside the edge of the pot.
If you are going to use these for a festivity like a wedding (paint white, silver, wedding color). You will trim it out later with a bow to coordinate.
Fill the larger pot with garden topsoil to the point that if you put the smaller pot inside the edges meet all the way across. With the smaller pot inside nestled on the top soil add top soil to the outer pot and add pea gravel or sand to the middle pot.
Plant small plants in the rim with garden soil such as pansies or you could even use succulents.
Place votive candle center of the middle pot and add flute. Add a ribbon or paint decorative designs on outside of pot.
Small pots are not that expensive and candle flutes can sometimes be found at a dollar store. Make several for a wedding and give them away to guests that you wish to acknowledge. It will be a special gift they will enjoy.
