My Share: Gadget Grab

So, I was given the Gadget Grab to do a review on and couldn’t wait to share what I thought of the product. The product arrived in just three days after I was told I would be getting one to do this review – that’s impressive and immediately wanted to give props to the company and shipper for fast delivery.

The product comes in a nice tight box and I was a little scared that this is just a gadget with little quality and probably would not last long – I WAS WRONG. The product folds nice and tight which is great because you can take in on the go because it would easily fold in a pocket (small Gadget Grab used for a cell phone) or a briefcase pocket (for the large Gadget Grab used for a tablet).

I first pulled out the larger one and placed my Samsung Tab on it and placed it on my desk to be able to use that while I was working on my laptop. This item does not fold in great fear of the weight of my tablet and can easily be taken off or moved with the stand attached when needed. I usually use my Samsung Tab to look up references when I am writing so this makes this very easy. I was impressed that it was sleek and attractive and could easily go into any environment. It is a charcoal grey color over all and the part that grabs the tablet or cell phone is green.

Then I wanted to test out the smaller Gadget Grab with my Samsung Galaxy S6 (I am addicted to Samsung products). This is a big cell phone and the Gadget Grabber had not a lick of problems holding it. I put this on my desk as well – I wanted to test its ability to hold the phone for easy access to answer it when I got a phone call (my desk is always messy with file folders, stacks of papers and other items so my cell phone just laying on the desktop isn’t the best of ideas). This eliminates that problem since it kept my phone on up at an angle and did not allow anything to go on top of it.

I really like this product and have found that I will be using it more than I thought before I received it. It is sleek and clean in design and is very functional. The quality is good and the obviously took a lot of time to develop a product that consumers will be able to use for years to come.

Candy Cane Candle Holder / Placecard Holder SIMPLE

47310_301268786658094_1510707828_nWhat a wonderful creation that would make great candle holders. Even making enough for a little take home keepsake for each of your guests would not be costly and be very unique. You will need eight wrapped candy canes. Start with two and continue hot gluing each as you go along. You will not need a lot of glue and low setting is just fine. When you get about half way through you will need to keep the candle in place as well so it will all look just right when you finish off with the eighth candy cane. Finish with a ribbon and bow. You could also make smaller versions of these with just four candy canes and use them as name tag holders. Make sure the ‘hook’ of the candy canes stay on a flat surface to make sure your end product can stand on its own. This will be such a great addition to your Christmas party and everyone will really enjoy them.

Outdoor Drink Holder From A Can

543708_429619690467194_251061827_nThoroughly clean can and dry — Paint or decoupage the outside of can with a unique design — Seal with polyurethane — You will need a (minimum size of) 18 inch galvanized bolt (about 2.50 at a hardware store) with a washer and nut. Puncture hole in bottom of can and push the bolt through from the inside of can until head in at the bottom. Under the can on the bolt add a washer and then secure the nut tightly. The longer bolt you use the better. You can also polyurethane the entire can, nut, washer and bolt once done to give a nice shiny presentation and to help prevent rust.

Egg Carton Bat

Cut out 3 sections of egg carton a spray paint black. Tie a ribbon through a large bead (or something that will hold the ribbon on the under side of the egg carton) and pull ribbon through hole in middle section of egg carton piece. Glue two googly eyes on the front. Make several of these and use left over ribbon to make the hangers. make sure to spray the underside as well. Let the kids help and remember that Halloween decorations don’t have to look perfect – in fact imperfection actually look better in the end product. It just adds to the creepy feeling to your decorations. Great to let the kids decorate at a party – just spray paint everything before hand and let them use eyes and glitter and beads and other left overs in your craft closet. The would make great name place holders as well – after pulling the ribbon through make a bow. The ribbon can also hold a little bell to bring in the noise.
