Brownie Cups For Desert

10420297_10152244652691381_7213368349730075141_nMake your favorite brownie batter recipe. Use shortening and cover the inside wells of one cupcake pan and on the outside of the second cupcake pan. Fill the wells of the cupcake pan that you placed shortening into the wells 1/3 of the way. Use the second pan that you used shortening on the outside of the wells of a cupcake pan and push gently down into the first. Bake brownies as directed. Very carefully remove top cupcake pan and let brownies cool. When they are cool pop out of pan and cover. Place ice cream or fresh fruit into the cup cupcakes. Add syrup and sprinkles etc. to make an awesome presentation.

Ice Cream Christmas Ornaments

530298_477419642310148_1531513395_nPreform these in advance and pull them out with lots of ohhs and ahhs.

Make round scoops of ice cream and roll bottom into candy sprinkles – think all red, all green, green and red, multi (like is shown). On the side take Reece’s Peanut Butter cuts (small) and poke a hole on one side and then directly across from the other. Take a piece of string licorice and make a loop as the ornament hanger. Freeze well before you serve.

Strawberry Whipped Cream Santa Treats

60720_327520874027434_1397626496_nAnother very easy treat. Cut tops off of strawberries. Toss these and then cut the tip off but keep these.  Pipe whipped cream and place cap back on top of this. Place two dots of whipped cream to make buttons. Then top the cap with whipped cream to make a puff on Santa’s hat. With the tip of a toothpick touch the whipped cream with a dot of black food coloring. Serve.

Banana Ice Cream – Yum

943611_326776824120524_1807379374_nThis looks so good I just had to try it……. and let me tell you this is so good! I have actually dabbled with different add ins like:

~ 1 cup frozen strawberry yogurt/1 cup banana flavored yogurt

~1/2 cup Nutella

~I cup frozen strawberries

~1 cup nuts (I have tried 1 cup mixed, 1 cup almonds and 1 cup peanuts to 2 bananas – and these were chilled)

Of course this was not all at once. So far everything was really good and I really liked it. It was a very good for you snack that I did not have to feel like I was being bad while eating it. All ingredients were frozen or chilled to keep the “ice cream” cold. For the nuts I added nuts from the baking section – these are what you eat when you are eating healthy because they are unsalted – the type made to put into cookies and desserts and not the ones you buy they are sugared or salted because they are really unhealthy for you.

Icing On The Cake – Different Styles

icing a cake treatment treatments finishes finish1st: ice the cake and make random 1/2 swirls  with a tip of a spoon and rotate them as you go

2nd: ice the cake and use a fork and run the tips of prongs into icing to make squiggle/straight lines (squiggle is more forgiving)

3rd: ice cake and use tip of spoon and  dig little trenches going around the edge and random on top

4th: ice cake and use a butter knife tip and drag it from bottom to top around edge and from edge into the center on top

Now you never have to worry about making the icing all nice and smooth (which will give you a quick headache). Use these designs with butter cream or any soft icings like cool whip icing. I hope you enjoy!
