Crockpot Turtles Candy

Crockpot Turtles Candy is an incredibly simple and impressive candy. A rich chocolaty recipe that you simply dump ingredients into your slow cooker, stir and scoop. Then garnish and gift (or serve). It doesn’t get much easier than that!

Homemade Almond Roca – Easy

Untitled

I have always love Almond Roca – this is such a simple recipe and is not time consuming. I have added this to our families treat box gifts we give to family and friends this year. This one recipe actually makes a lot also. It makes a nice presentation at a party also spread on a platter – it will be gone before the party is over.

No Flour Or Sugar Cookies

I have had this recipe for some time and sorta resisted trying them. I tried them last night and let me tell you they were very very good! They had a mild chewiness – I did not add rains to half of this batch and both were very good! You would think since these are made with banana that it would taste like banana – but it only carried a minor flavor of banana. You can make them with whole milk instead of almond milk and you can cut the cinnamon in half or eliminate it all together. I added 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips to half this recipe and they came out perfect. I imagine you could substitute all or part of the raisins with chopped nut or dried cranberries. I highly recommend this recipe!

Make a typical sugar cookie icing recipe as follows:

Mix: (add additional corn syrup to make sure it is runny)

1 cup powdered sugar – 2 teaspoons milk – 2 teaspoons light corn syrup – 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extractfood coloring (black, yellow and orange)

Dip marshmallow into orange about one third the way up from the bottom. Dry.

Dip marshmallow into yellow about one half the way up the orange. Dry

Mix the rest of your icing to make black and dot the top part of marshmallow to make eyes. This step is not necessary as they are a unique little treat or party favor either way.

Happy Halloween
