Paper Wrapping Storage

36497_524872520870544_62014369_nSo now the holidays are over and you have that leftover wrapping paper – and the questions comes up of what exactly to do with them. This creative idea was shared by Barbera Lipten and is much appreciated. Use four eye hooks and wire thinned than bailing wire. My wife and I still just take the remnants and carefully fold them down to go into storage with our Christmas decorations. We will even do this with brand new rolls of paper. But this idea is really great for the everyday paper for us. Birthday paper, baby etc. It also makes it so the paper is very handy to get to and put back.

Melted Snowman Ornament

486172_478438535532745_2041032508_nAt most craft and art stores this time of year they have fillable glass or PVC ornaments and this is a simple and elegant ornament for you and your children to make. Fill 1/7 way up with granulated sugar. For buttons and nose you can make them from polymer clay or buttons can be chocolate chips and nose can be a hot tamale candy or something similar. Make sure not to shake and cap it tightly. Hang from a tree and watch the faces of people who come to see it.

Wishes For Everyone For A Perfect Holiday Season

Country-ChristmasMay everyone be surrounded by family, friends, good food and most importantly love this holiday season. Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanza and a perfect New Year! To America’s soldiers overseas I pray for a safe journey until you get home to your loving families. I want everyone to take a moment and think of someone outside of their normal holiday business – to a child or senior who has little in their life. Give a few presents to make life a little happier and if you can’t do that take some time and visit with someone in a who while you volunteer your time. If you love shopping and have the extra money find someone to “adopt” (Walmart has Senior angles – we adopted three this year). This season means so much than getting – give yourself, your time, and money if you can.

Stuffed Peppers Halloween Style

This year when making dinner on Halloween prepare these ahead of time.Make your favorite stuffed peppers with pumpkin cut outs. Remember that you cut out very little because as you cook them they will shrink. Don’t throwaway the tops or stems as you top this guy off to make a great presentation. Serve with a side salad with food colored tited ranch dressing. The kids will love it and it will be a good source of healthy energy after trick-or-treating.
