This creative idea uses an old towel holder – and is a very cool design to store, display and organize your hand bags. The towel holder could be kept in its original design or paint it with an enamel to work it into the current design you have where you intend to use it.
This idea is so great! All you need is some basic items: small hooks, old frame and metal mesh that you can purchase in the garden section of your local home improvement store. Instead of mesh you could also go for a thick (upholstery) type of fabric. The small hooks are attached to the bottom of the frame to allow necklaces to be able to hang. The metal mesh or fabric is attached with a staple gun to the back of the frame. To change this up paint the frame or stain it a different color or distress it. If you do not want the metal to show use a spray enamel and spray the mesh front and back before attaching to the frame.
For your lightweight scarfs store them lightly tied on a clothes hanger and hang in closet – makes storage neat and tidy and easily accessible.
We all have these types of pans in a cabinet taking up space or sitting and looking rather drab within the kitchen space. I came cross this idea and love it. It is an old magazine rack (who gets magazines anymore right?). I think a smaller version of this idea could come from a Coca Cola/Pepsi wooden holder from years ago – with a little craftiness even an old milk crate could work. Leave the crate/rack like it is or paint it up in a make-over to fit your kitchen design. A great addition to your kitchen and a way to up-cycle/re-purpose something many of us have no use for. Can’t wait to find just the right crate/rack when I am out yard-sailing or looking through antique or thrift stores.
I take pride in my heritage and would love this near the front door. Think it has just become a project in my near future.
