This would make a great present for a Mom or Grandma – and the feet can be made with one from each household member – hands could also be used instead of feet. Lettering can be made with stencils and transfer letters and thick watercolor or finger paints should be used for the prints.
Make design using black sharpie markers (Trace around googly eyes to get exact size), then paint yellow, then paint, light blue, then paint darker blue, add googly eyes and put silver puff paint around eyes. You may want to sharpen the black edges by going over them in black sharpie again. In the picture he is glued to another rock and put into a pot of grass. He could be glued to the top of a wooden stake to put in your garden. Here he is small scale – but he could easily be made on a boulder with the help of an adult and bigger brushes. Dip hard boiled egg in blue dye first (only half) to desired strength of blue color for pants – when dry do the same with the other half but in yellow. When dry glue on googly eyes like shown in examples. Use sharpie marker to create smiles and rings to top and bottom of eyes. Pictured they used black yarn to create band for glasses but you could just finish with sharpie marker. Very cool and the kids will love their new companions.
What a vibrant colored Easter spring time photo. These new ducklings are a beautiful yellow and have great contrast from the washed blue frame and pink roses with green leaves. Makes you want to get out and garden and enjoy the yard!
