Halloween Bags For Gifts Or Treats

Materials:

  • Paper Craft Sack
  • Ribbon of Choice
  • Halloween Hole Punch
  • Cardstock
  • Acrylic Jewels
  • Tissue Paper – Various Colors
  • Crayola® Pointed Scissors
  • Craft Smart® All Purpose Glue
  • 3M® Double Stick Tape

Instructions:

  1. Use double-stick tape to adhere ribbon to bags. Curl some ribbon and tie to bag handles.
  2. Create embellishments using cardstock and craft punches, or just create your own designs.
  3. Apply jewels to the embellishments as desired.
  4. Glue the embellishments to the bags or use ribbon to attach them.
  5. Fill the bags with party favors, goodies, etc. and tissue paper.

(Trail Mix) Trash Mix – Halloween Style


1 (16-ounce) package candy corn

1 (15-ounce) package pretzel nlbblers

1 (12-ounce) package caramel popcorn and peanuts

1 (15-ounce) package banana chips

1 (15-ounce) package candy-coated chocolate pieces

1 (15-ounce) package dried mango

1 (15-ounce) package dried pineapple

1 (10-ounce) package toffee pretzels

1 (6-ounce) package sweetened dried cranberries

1 (6-ounce) package worm-shaped chewy candy

STIR together all ingredients. Store in an airtight container. Yield: 16 cups. Prep: 5 minutes

Halloween Harvest Moon Lollipops


These make a perfect party project for kids. (Help younger children in­sert the lollipop sticks.)

Arrange lol­lipops in a container filled with florist foam for an impressive cen­terpiece, or wrap individually in cel­lophane and give as party favors.

MATERIALS
12(10-to 12-inch-long) lollipop sticks
1 (24-ounce) package Chocolate Flavor Moon Pies
1 (14-ounce) package orange candy melts
wax paper Halloween candies
decorator icing ribbon (optional)

Step 1: Insert 1 lollipop stick 2 to 3 inches into marshmallow center of Moon Pie.

Step 2: Microwave candy melts in a glass bowl at MEDIUM (50% power) 1 minute or until melted, stirring once; spoon into plastic bag, and seal.

Step 3: Snip a small hole in 1 cor­ner of the bag; pipe melted candy around where stick meets Moon Pie to secure. Lay flat on wax paper, and let stand until firm.

Step 4: Pipe fun border of melted candy around edges. Attach can­dies and/or cake decorations with decorator icing. Tie ribbons around tops of sticks, if desired.

Halloween Weiner Worms

Cut bun-length hot dogs lengthwise into quarters. Place on grill rack crosswise, and grill uncovered to desired degree ot doneness. They’ll curl into “worms” on their own as they cook. Serve alone or in buns with mustard and ketchup. In addition to red, offer colored ketchups such as green and purple.

Halloween Deviled Green Goblin Eggs

PREP: 30 M1N., STAND: 1 HR.

For a festive look, serve in decorative Halloween cupcake liners.
6 cups hot water
1  (0.3-ounce) bottle yellow
liquid food coloring
1/2 (0.3-ounce) bottle blue liquid food coloring
1/2 (0.3-ounce) bottle green liquid food coloring
2 tablespoons cider vinegar
12 large unpeeled hard-cooked
eggs, with shells cracked
1/2 cup instant potato flakes
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup sour cream
1/4 cup minced fresh chives
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon seasoned pepper

STIR together first 5 ingredients in a large bowl; add eggs, and let stand 1 hour. Remove and drain on paper towels. Peel eggs to re­veal pattern on whites.

CUT eggs in half lengthwise; care­fully remove yolks. Mash yolks; stir in potato flakes and next 5 in­gredients until blended.

SPOON the yolk mixture evenly into egg white halves. Attach 2 halves, gently pressing together stuffed sides.
