Small Pumpkin Votive Candle Holders
Super creative – just cut the top section out of a small gourd or pumpkin. To do this place tea light candle on top and trace the perimeter with a sharpie marker. Cut just with in this line and you want to be able to push the tea light candle down into hole for a tight fit so it won’t go into the pumpkin or gourd. Also, this would have to be done in a short time before a party or dinner as once cut the pumpkin or gourd will shrink which will make the tea light go into the pumpkin or gourd.
Delicious And Sinless – Cookies
I finally got around to trying these – soooo good! They are very tasty! I was afraid that these would taste very banana flavored but to my surprise they don’t. I also made them with raisins instead of chips and also added coconut to the above recipe. I think they would also taste good by substituting the chips with crushed walnuts. I will have to try that one next time.
Paper Heart Valentines Day / Wedding Hanging Garland
Using construction paper colored red white, pink, purple or variations of these colors (we used all red pictured) cut strips 2″ thick the long ways of the paper. Fold in your older kids involved with half. Glue loose ends together. Where fold is glue the bottom of another heart to the inside of fold. Repeat until you get length that is desired. Hang. Get your older kids involved. Cheap and fun and very festive. (Use your wedding colors to make these for your wedding!)
Baby In Bathtub Trick
I found this idea and tried it when the granddaughter was here for a visit. Insert a laundry basket into the tub and fill it up with water to wash the baby. Put their toys into the basket and put the child into the basket. This is great as a transitional aid to let baby feel safe. It also makes it easier to drain tub and keep toys easily accessible. Use shower spray to rinse out basket and dry.
