Proteins After A Good Workout

Some ask what is the best protein to make a shake with after my workout? The answer is simple… it is Whey. After exercise, subjects in an experiment, were given 10 grams of either whey protein or another kind. Their muscles recovered faster after the whey. Why whey? It’s the quickest and easiest for your body to digest, so it gets to the muscles fastest.

Ecercise Buddy – Or Not!?!?!

Want to give exercise your all? Do it solo! People are more likely to work out harder if they are alone, according to a recent survey. It is easier to push yourself when you do it alone when you don’t have to worry about someone else’s agenda or pace. But fitness friendships do have proven perks: People work out twice as long with a friend. But if you are looking for a hard sweat, do it alone.

Juice It

Orange juice may be the go to drink for vitamin C, but new research shows that other fruit juices may contain just as much. Using a new, more accurate method of measuring vitamin C, scientists found that some brands of apple juice, and even grape and pineapple juice, contain levels of vitamin C that are as high  or higher than those in orange juice. If you are not an orange juice fan, or just want more variety, you can switch it up a little and still get your vitamin C.
