I would have loved to have had these when I was a kid – could actually have an excuse to play with my food. How fun dinner would have been? Set has a fork, spoon and bulldozer for a child to push their food onto utensils with. Very cool!
Cookies Shaped Like Easter Baskets
Use your favorite sugar cookie recipe and divide cookie dough into at least four equal portions and use a separate food color to dye each section of dough.
Spray inside of mini muffin pan with cooking spray.
Place a small amount of dough into each well and bake according to your sugar cookie recipes directions but watching to make sure they don’t burn.
When cookies are removed from oven and while cookies are still warm make an impression into them with your thumb to make the inside of the basket.
Be careful to make sure you are not putting your thumb into a cookie that is too hot so you don’t get burned. When cookie is completely cooled pipe icing into the cookie well after you have removed cookies from mini muffin pan.
Place jelly beans, M&M’s, chocolate chips etc into the icing.
Sprinkle coconut if you like around candies that were inserted. At the end use a section of string licorice to make a handle for the basket.
Great for parties, kids school functions including bake sales and can be placed on small plates around a party gathering to provide a sense of Easter decorations.
Use Knitting In Your Home Decoration By Guest Writer Ella Andrews
During the recent years knitting has become more and more popular not only in clothes fashion but also as a way of decorating your home. Knitting brings warmth and cosiness in a place. Here are a few ideas and advices on how to most properly use it in your dwelling.
-
Knitting and your furniture
Knitting is a wonderful way to renovate your old furniture and even to make new one. Knitted tools have become more and more popular recently and they are a wonderful addition to your children’s room. For your bedroom or hall sofa you can use knitted coverings instead of the traditional ones. Knitting is a perfect solution if your furniture is a bit old. Cover it with knitting but have in mind that it is more difficult to clean
If you use knitting instead of traditional carpet for your rooms you will be surprised of the great change you will immediately notice. A knitted carpet on your bedroom floor will not only look romantic and cosy but will also warm your feet when you get up and step on it. It looks both stylish and beautiful.
Knitting is a wonderful means of creating specific atmosphere in your place. The secret here is to use it not everywhere but in the tiny but important details. You can even use knitting to create seasonal home decoration. Knitted flowers are suitable for spring while sea themes are a perfect choice for summer. Leaves made of coloured yarn are a wonderful addition for your autumn decoration and knitted snowflakes are the best choice for winter.
A few more ideas of how to use knitting in your home decoration:
- Make tiny knitted “socks” for your chairs’ and tables’ legs. They will look fashionable and will prevent the carpet from scratches.
- Knitted glass pads are also a smart decision
- You can use yarn to make pillow cases for the vases – this type of decoration is very suitable for the cold winter months.
- A couple of colored balls of yarn look extremely fashionable in a tall, glass vase.
- For Christmas you can make a wreath of colored yarn using traditional festive colors – red, green and white.
How to properly take care of the knitting?
You may store it in moving boxes or if you have purchased it carefully examine the label from the store as it will explain the best way to take care of it. If there is no label or you are the one who have created it, find out more about the yarn it is made of so that you can know how to properly wash and iron it.
Some knitting should be washed in cool water only while others – in hot one. Wash them well and use special fabric softener to keep the knitting soft for as long as possible.

Chocolate Eclair Cake
Chocolate Eclair Cake!!!
1 cup water
1/2 cup butter
1 cup flour
4 large eggs
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 large box (5.1 ounces) vanilla instant pudding
3 cups milk
1 8 oz. container cool whip (you won’t use the whole container) or one batch of homemade whipped cream
chocolate syrup or homemade chocolate sauce
Instructions:
~Preheat oven to 400. Lightly grease a 9″X13″ glass baking pan.
~Eclair Crust: In a medium saucepan, melt butter in water and bring to a boil. Remove from heat. Stir in flour. Mix in one egg at a time, mixing completely before adding another egg. Spread mixture into pan, covering the bottom and sides evenly. *If the sides of your pan are too greased you won’t be able to get the mixture to stay up the sides so make sure to just lightly grease.
~Bake for 30-40 minutes or until golden brown (Mine only took 25 minutes.) You may want to check it occasionally-you don’t want to overcook the crust, it will ruin the cake! Remove from oven and let cool (don’t touch or push bubbles down).
~Filling: Whip cream cheese in a medium bowl. In separate bowl make vanilla pudding. Make sure pudding is thick before mixing in with cream cheese. Slowly add pudding to cream cheese, mixing until there are no lumps. Let cool in fridge. When the crust is completely cooled, pour filling in. Top with layer of cool whip however thick you want it and serve with chocolate syrup.
Easter Deviled Eggs
Ingredients
10 hard boiled eggs
food coloring
1 tsp vinegar for each color you are using
water
½ cup mayonnaise or Miracle Whip or half of each (I use Miracle Whip)
Remove the shells from the hard boiled eggs and slice each egg in half.
Remove the yolks from the egg halves and place in a bowl. Set the yolks aside.
Get enough glasses or mugs for the number of colors you want to use. Fill the mugs or glasses ⅔ of the way full with cold water.
Add 3 drops of desired food coloring along with 1 tsp vinegar to each mug or cup.
Place egg whites in the mugs and allow to sit in the food coloring until desired color is reached. I could fit 3 egg whites in each of my mugs at a time.
Remove whites from dye and drain on a plate lined with a couple of paper towels.
Take the reserved yolks and mash them with a fork. Then mix in the ½ cup mayonnaise with the mashed yolk.
Pipe or spoon the yolk mix into the colored egg whites. Makes 20 deviled egg halves.
