Very interesting chart to show you just how fresh your eggs are. A lot of people don’t care other then to know if the egg should still be used because of age. Did you know that there is a change in how the egg tastes and cooks depending on how fresh it is? For some bakers only the freshest of eggs will work because they swear that the freshest of eggs makes cakes more airy and are more consistent when baking goodies like cookies and other treats. Depending on how you like your eggs fried you may want freshest (fluffy) or older (for a denser consistency). However, you should always toss eggs that float because they are considered bad and may be unhealthy to eat. Print this out and keep it in your recipe book or tape it on the inside of a cabinet in your kitchen for reference.

Using Pine Cones In Your Crafts
We have all seen pine cones used in crafts and arts but did you know that pine cones can be home to little critters that you do not want in your home? Line a cookie sheet with aluminum foil. Take your cookie sheet outside and place pine cones in a single layer. You do this outside to avoid any more time the critters have to get into your home. Take inside and put into 200 degree preheated oven and bake for 10 minutes. This will also help eliminate any sap that the pinecones hold. Cool and they are not ready for your crafting. This also will make them slightly more porous so that different glues will bind better with them.

Pita Bread Christmas Tree Appetizer
Slice a pita bread into wedges with a pizza cutter. Stick pretzel into the widest portion of pita. Spread your choice of cream cheese or cottage cheese tinted green. Sprinkle pimento pieces around for the garland. Easy and cheap to make and you will surely run out of these guys quickly at your party. It would also be a quick snack to have for the family when they sit down and watch your favorite Christmas movie.
