Bride & Groom Cupcakes

10550628_6022762902991_1459252204_nThese are relatively simple and basic amounts of colored icing can be used. These would work at a wedding shower, rehearsal dinner or as little take homes for the guests when they leave your service. The tux lapels were done in fondue here but you could easily create this in delicious butter cream.

Paper Heart Valentines Day / Wedding Hanging Garland

1499535_711138078904231_703041343_nUsing construction paper colored red white, pink, purple or variations of these colors (we used all red pictured) cut strips 2″ thick the long ways of the paper. Fold in your older kids involved with half. Glue loose ends together. Where fold is glue the bottom of another heart to the inside of fold. Repeat until you get length that is desired. Hang. Get your older kids involved. Cheap and fun and very festive. (Use your wedding colors to make these for your wedding!)

Chocolate Heart Covered Strawberries For Weddings Or Valentines Day

37014_221278544663338_53286528_nA sinful treat that is so very easy to create. Slice strawberry in half and dip all cut sides in sugar. This will prevent early spoiling of the strawberry. Place cut sides of each strawberry down so that it creates a heart shape. Push a toothpick through the sides to give you a solid heart form that won’t move. Melt chocolate chip (of your favorite type) in a slow cooker on low. Use tongs and dip the entire strawberry into the chocolate. Place on wax paper to harden. Then drizzle colored icing or a different type of chocolate across and immediately sprinkle sugar or colored sugar or sprinkles or edible glitter on top. Tap off excess. Enjoy!

Valentimes Day / Wedding Day Wreath Door Decoration

1157459_790952564264554_685403349_nNothing says ‘I Love You’ more than the quick way of expressing it with an X and O for a hug and kiss. These door wreaths would work for a Valentines Day decoration or for a Wedding Decoration. The X is done freehand with with berry branches (faux) and the O is done using a wire formation available at any craft store. They are both backed with a four inch ribbon and bow at the top to hang. These can be made large or small which gives some diversity to use on walls, door or as tale decorations or centerpieces.

Paint Glass Different Colors

420610_625983630765062_442155601_nMix a clear white paint with fabric dye/food coloring until you get desired color. Paint the outside of the glass and let dry. You should have a nice color and you can seal that with varnish or polyurethane to prevent it from peeling. Use to store food products (stored in zip lock bags) in the kitchen, craft items, office supplies in the office, seeds for your garden etc. Do not use these by directly putting food inside of them for your protection. You could paint the bottoms one color and when dry paint the tops another color letting them drip down. I think this being done to a larger size container could be used as a centerpiece for a wedding since you could color co-ordinate them with different color schemes. You can do this with recycled items or it would really bring a dollar store vase up a notch… and don’t stop at glass – you can do this same process with plastic.
