Drag with a toothpick little ridges at the base of the wings. Place a dot of melted chocolate at the top and stick a brown M&M onto it. Place two dots of melted chocolate at the top of the M&M and drag (with a toothpick) up to create two ears. Pipe two dots of colored icing (powdered sugar with a few drops of food coloring just to make it almost runny). Put two drops of melted chocolate for the center of eyes.

Delicious treat for a Halloween party or for an added bonus to a treat bag. If you love Nutter Butters like i do this will surely be a scary little treat you will want to make.

Log Slices For A Hardwood Floor

ddd

I am absolutely in love with these floors. They are so artistic and creative. I especially love the lower one on the right hand side because the slices overlap each other and it butts up to the rest of the floors seamlessly. Having a design element in a home that is both artistic and no where near a norm for a home is a complete conversation starter. I could also see this done in a backyard for a pathway or to use instead of decking/porch. I have always been inspired to love elements that are very natural and to see nature enter a home like this is great.

Princess Castle Party Entrance HOW TO

263331_640068739356551_1401859941_n

What a great entrance for your little princess for a birthday party or special event. This can be done with a little planning and I will tell you the secrets to do so.

TOWERS: You will need six feet of pine that is 2″x4″ or 2″x2″ and  a 1.5’x1.5’x1″ square for the bottom. You will need balloons and poster board and a 2′ piece of doweling that is no thinner than 1/2″. Attach the square 1.5′ board to the bottom of the 2″x4″x6′ pine board. This needs to be centered evenly to prevent it from toppling over. To the top of the 2″x4″x6′ pine board attach the doweling by drilling a hole to fit the dowel in the 2″x4″x6′ pine board. My suggestion at this time is to paint all of this with a coordinating paint color to the balloons. When these are in your venue you will either use push pins or staples to attach the balloons at the part where they are blown up to the 2″x4″x6′ pine board. Use your poster board to make a funnel that slides down the dowel. Use additional piece of poster board to make a flag that attaches to the top of the dowel.

CHAIN: You will need the long balloons that you will interlink to each other to create the chain. The base is a pile of small balloons that the chain gets attached to. The top is attached to the top of two towers.

PATH: As seen we used a roll of white paper that is about 12′ and created a cobblestone pattern on it. We used a sharpie marker and a cement path mold and traced around the “stones”. We embellished it with some natural marks with the sharpie marker.

There you have it –  a little work and around a hundred dollars will make the perfect grand entrance for your little one. I had thought about adding some small pots of real growing grass around to give a unique look but stayed with this design.

Happy 4th Of July

3669546092_53e7b3d783_zWishing you all the best for the Fourth Of July – surrounded by family and friends. I also wish to thank all of the service embers who gave us their all and to those service members who are fighting for our liberties and freedoms as we speak. As we still to this day vow to defeat our country’s flag, our liberties and freedoms we must face all those who oppose as a united front. So while you are enjoying your cookouts and parties – take a moment to just think why you are here today with the right to have such festivities.

One Nation Under God we live
Think about all some had to give

We the people share freedom’s life
In a world of ever present strife

Be grateful to those who keep this true
Warriors of our red, white, and blue

They’re trained by those of great skill
Honed to perform, so strong their will

They show what love is all about
They’ll fight for us, there is no doubt

Defending bravely what we are
No holding back each heartfelt star

Highly praise these men and women
Giving thanks time and again

Those in uniform will always be
The golden pride of this country
