317753_10151220111449316_289108533_nJust think of all of the fun you could create taking the standard recipe for gingerberead and make a spooky Halloween house. Here I used graham crackers. This is just very basic – the more elaborate the better.

Rice Crispie Treats Decked Out For Thanksgiving or Halloween

555301_10152635216305354_1622944507_nAs the standard mixture cools add more whole marshmallows and M&M’s that are autumn colored when stirring and then top with more of those colored M&M’s to the top. I also thing this would work if you can find this color combo in Peanut M&M;s.

Candy Corn Banana Corn Cob For Halloween or Thanksgiving

1474589_10153534251255230_1808621433_nI always have loved this time of year because we get to consume candy corn. I love candy corn when it is made of real honey instead of cheap sugars for sweetness. This is also done very quickly and is a great snack – Bananas and Candy Corn!!!

You can use a ripe banana and insert the tips of candy corn into the banana. You can also use peanut butter over banana and then insert candy corn. The peanut butter adds two import factors: It tastes better with peanut butter and it helps keep the banana from going bad quickly since air is kept from it.

Ghost Bananas: Cut bananas in half – push a large chocolate chip in for mouth and two small for the eyes

Orange Pumpkins: Use tangerines and push in a piece of cut celery for stem

Mummy Halloween Lanterns

1185694_696994683663956_242399836_nWhat a cheap way to add to your decorations. Use old mason jars, mayo jars, pickle jars (bigger the variety of size and shapes makes this project pretty neat). Use gauze and wrap until you have a doesn’t covering over the jars using hot glue to hold into place if you need to. Tie and leave some overhang. This can be left nice and tidy or messy – mummy’s don’t care what they look like right? For the light source use an electronic candle or small flashlight and place in mason jar. Done – great party decorations or table centerpiece. You could also have these in various places around a front porch for the Trick-or-treaters. Have a great Halloween and stay safe!
