You first need white stockings with each leg cut. Here we used white glow sticks added to a water balloon before filling. You could use multiple colors or you can buy all green for a different effect. Tie the top of the nylon and hang from a tree. I would think this makes a great decoration for a night time party as well. Around the Fourth Of July you can find red, white and blue. Green would work for St. Patricks Day and multi-colored would work for a birthday. Sometimes you can find all of one color and these can be used for specific color themes.
Create a cutout from green paper that looks like the top of a pumpkin and attach high on a wall. Blow up orange balloons and attach with masking tape of push pins. Use this as a display for the party or on the outside of your home for trick or treat night. Older kids, with supervision, could use a push pin to pop balloons in turn until they are all popped. Could be done for different parties making a strawberry, heart, Christmas tree, wreath etc.
Blow up balloons and with a needle and thick thread thread them together to make a balloon garland. This is very cheap and a great way to add a lot of color to a party. You can use thread but would be more secure if you used embroidery thread. Mix and match colors for your theme to go with the colors of a school for graduation or just go random for a birthday party. This can be something done at the last minute as well as you can get everything you need and have it ready to go.
