Baby’s 1st Halloween Pumpkin Idea

What a great way to bring the pumpkin in to help celebrate a child’s first Halloween. It was found that tracing the feet and hands onto paper and then cutting it out to use as templets worked best. Trace and then cut with saw blade from a pumpkin carving set. Using a drawn set of hands and feet would also be a great way to make a pumpkin to display for family and friends to learn your exciting news that you are expecting.

Milk Jug Ghosts For Halloween

Spirit-Jugs-Halloween-CraftThis one is simple – use milk jugs! Use sharpie marker and make a face. Poke a hole in the back. use a string of white lights and push about 25 lights into each jug. Place ghosts along front of a house, down stairs. Light pathways to help trick or treaters find the way to the door.

Halloween Toilet Paper/Paper Towel Roll Eyes

What a great idea to do a FREE decoration for Halloween. As a kid I always loved going to houses who decorated and gave me great memories when I was Trick-Or-Treating. Sometimes just the simple decorations were just as cool to me – although I absolutely loved the houses that gave me chills to walk up to.

For this decoration you just need toilet paper rolls and paper towel rolls and glow sticks (get these at a dollar store where you can find a large package of bracelets, necklaces etc. for a dollar). Cut slits and ovals and anything else you can think of in these tubes. Don’t worry about the exterior of the tubes as it will be dark and no one will see anything except the glowing eyeballs.

Hang them from fishing line, stick them in bushes, or stick or hang them in trees. Think of all the nooks and crannies that these can go into. When that special night starts to happen snap your glow sticks to turn them on and stick them inside the tubes.

PS: This time of year they also have those look alike candles that are small that are actually a light bulb which you could use.

Halloween Sugar Cookie Mummies ~ Easy

545870_10100141348623202_2044196699_nSo Easy!!! Make your favorite sugar cookie dough recipe (or use premade) roll and cut out (with a knife)  cookies that are shaped like your thumb. Round the ends and bake. Make an icing recipe and drizzle back a nd fourth across the cookies – it does not need to be neat and perfect which makes it great to allow your children to help. You can use a sandwich zip lock bag and cut a tiny piece from the corner to pipe icing. The eyes can be made by mixing the same recipe for the icing and add a few drops of food coloring or you could place two chocolate chips top side pushed into cookie before you bake them. Easy and looks great when you have several on a plate for a Halloween party or favors for a party.
