Graduation Reece’s Peanut Butter Cup Hat

grad graduation hat favor party parties gift country and victorian timesCut 3″ squares out of black poster board and use a sharpie marker and mark the edges. Use a gold or silver paint pen and trace  a square on top of each square as seen in the picture. Take a six inch length of ribbon (this can be color co-ordinated to work with the schools color just as the black poster board can be changed) and glue it to the top of the black poster board. Hot glue the black square with the square you made on it facing up to the small end of a mini Reece’s Peanut Butter Cup. Top with a small black sequin or bead to cover the glued ends of the ribbon to make a finished look. These would make great party favors or would make a great gift with several placed with tissue paper in a gift box.

Easiest Peanut Butter Fudge EVER

528257_621647897865302_2073466850_nSo I saw this recipe and since I am a huge peanut butter lover had to try it. It was so easy and it tasted sooooo good. It had a slightly different consistency from fudge that I am used to but was a very good treat. This time I hid a portion away before the kiddies gobbled them all down. I will wake up early in the morning and have these as an early morning pick-up when the house is quiet.

Reece’s Peanut Butter Cup Christmas Tree

6984_10151345599775412_1729794261_nThis was created using just the green Reece’s from the bag which has green, red and gold. For a party you could make one of each or intermix and make a big tree. Hot glue them to each other and top with a bow. Would make a nice centerpiece to give as a gift. Let your children help.

Squirrel Snacks

If you have hungry squirrels in your area this time of year, you can treat them to a nourishing cold winter snack. First, help your child use a butter knife to coat the outside of a dried corn (available to gardening and pet supply stores) with peanut butter then roll it into bird seed until it is well coated. Set the treat outside attached to a log or to a tree the squirrels are seen in. Then watch the little guys go crazy once they have discovered their new found treasure.
