Happy Fourth Of July

Hope you all have a wonderful Happy Fourth Of July… stay safe but have a great time! By the way…. don’t these look perfectly delicious.

Entertainment Center To Childs Kitchen

OK… this is such a great idea….. for many many reasons. One, have you seen these plastic children’s kitchens that are readily marketed at your local discount store. I mean, do you really want one of those in your home. They are an eyesore AND the flimsy parts can break and cause injury to your child. This re-purposing of an unwanted entertainment center took a little bit of creativity and a little extra in supplies but turned out fantastic. I am sure the little child receiving this was more then elated and the parents were also by not having to worry about safety or that big hunk of plastic sitting in their room.

End The Party For Uninvited Guests

It happens every time….. you get unwanted and uninvited guests….. well, I can’t help you with them. BUT, I can help save drinks at your next outdoor party with this great idea. Its also very cheap so that is also a bonus. Have printed cupcake cups stashed all around for your guests to top their drink off with to prevent bugs from slipping into their drinks. You can go ahead and poke a hole through the middle of the bottom so your guests can easily slip them over their straw (you can use a small dowel or sharpened pencil). This also gives you an area to write each persons name on the top around the straw so people don’t lose their drinks and have to get another and waste your money by wasting drinks…. especially at a children’s party. Thank me later…..

More Garden Planter Ideas

There is a growing number of posts I have made to show numerous ideas of re-purposing and creative ways to make planters. Here we have an old pair of cowboy boots picked up cheaply at many yard sales or thrift stores, recycled house rain gutters that have been hung on a fence (note how they aren’t hung perfectly left to right but with a slight tilt – this gives the eye something more appealing to admire, and lastly we have an old boat (but you could use a canoe) which is ready to go after embedding it into the ground a ways and filling it with a rich soil for the garden in the Spring.
