An American Patriotic Christmas Tree – Remembrance

Here is a Christmas tree found at a veterans hospital. They used a flocked green tree and covered it with flags and red and blue ornaments. Service members boots were put to the base of the tree. A collection of flags were used to make a finial on top of the tree. White lights are used but i think I would add some red and blue as well. Making a statement like this is so respectful and very beautiful to boot.

A Christmas Tree Idea For Small Areas

Here is a great idea for a small space. it is creative and actually rather cool. Using cut timber from a tree in fall branches are attached to a wall. Now, you could just attach to a 2×4 like a trunk of a tree and screwed at the top with a simple bracket into the wall. A strand of white lights was plugged in and run from branch to branch. Ornaments are hung from the wood with little picture hanging nails. The light cord is allowed to show and not kept tidy or hidden as part of the design. But, you could be as neat as you like. Little items can be set on top of the timber. Can be made from floor to ceiling and can be made to make a big impact. The wood could even be painted a Christmas tree green or hot pink – thats up to you.

Outside Creative Lighting Solution

You will need some chunks of logs that are wide enough and cut straight enough to stand on their own. On one side use an auger to drill a hole wide enough so that the base of a solar light can fit into it. Use e6000 and glue the base of the solar light into the hole. Now stand the log in your garden or on your deck. So much better looking then just pushing these guys into the ground plus you get light up a bit higher which will be more useful.

Hit The Head Of The Nail And Not Your Finger

Ok, I am guilty. I have hit my thump or finger multiple times over the years. Ouch, right? Here is a simple solution to make sure that does not happen again. This is a simple hair clip and they are dirt cheap. A dollar store has them for like twenty for a dollar. A great little cheap accessory for your toolbox.

Great Storage Solution For Strips Of Craft Wood

We all have craft supplies from hobbies we do. This answers a problem I have with strips of wood. They are leftovers from lots of projects I have done. All cost a lot to replace and some day I know I will need them again. These are PVC piping that is eight inches wide and three feet long. They are attached together but could be attached to a garage or workshop wall. They hold strips of wood and make them easily accessible when you need them.
